Spotting the signs of psychosocial hazards (part 1)

- microlearn
- Duration
- 10 minutes
Your team members on the ground can play a crucial role in assisting in the early prevention of psychosocial hazards, yet many will be unfamiliar with these newly recognised warning signs. In this brief learning bite introduced by People & Culture Leader Helena Kuo, we provide a clear explanation of each of the hazards, as told through the eyes of working people (using short video anecdotes), driving home the reality of the scope of these hazards, how they can surface at work and how they can cause harm. We map the hazards to three easy-to-understand categories, starting here with six that relate to Carrying out your role, before the remaining two are explored in Part 2.
This microlearn will help participants to:
- identify and define psychosocial hazards that relate to carrying out the work
- recognise the potential health and safety impact of these hazards in the workplace
- recognise warning signs and take appropriate action to help eliminate these hazards.
