This session specially for leaders covers the essential drivers and features of belonging and inclusion at work. It examines challenges including belief sets, stereotypes and unconscious biases, and highlights intersectionality to deepen participants understanding of the underlying factors of power and privilege and how these can impact DEI. The program explores microaggressions and 'micro-biases’, how they form and their impacts, including how they can undermine an individual’s sense of belonging.
We examine the evidence-based drivers of inclusion, including psychological safety as a key enabler, and provide practical ways individuals can contribute to building an inclusive culture and in which everyone feels comfortable to be ‘their authentic selves’. The program addresses racism and provides strategies for being an effective ally, and for developing empathy across diverse experiences and perspectives.
