Zen at work: an introduction to mindfulness

Research suggests that adopting a practice of mindfulness may be helpful with issues like anxiety, depression and unhealthy substance use. It may also assist us to navigate challenging or stressful situations with greater clarity, purpose and control. This practical session explains and demystifies mindfulness, and includes a 20-minute guided mindfulness exercise to help participants experience what it means to be present in the moment and to observe without judgment, two of the fundamental principles of mindfulness. Some helpful tips are also provided for blending a mindfulness practice into our daily routine.
