Enmasse is an approved training partner of White Ribbon Australia (WRA) and has been delivering the White Ribbon Workplace Accreditation program to numerous organisations including state and commonwealth government departments, global and national companies for over 6 years. Workplaces have a vital role to play in eliminating gendered violence. Their involvement is particularly important because workplaces significantly influence our attitudes, beliefs and behaviours, and most men and women in domestic and family violence (DFV) situations are in paid employment. This means that workplaces are directly affected by the impacts of DFV and bear substantial economic and health costs associated with it. A comprehensive 3 hour session for leaders is aligned with WRA’s accreditation criterion 2.1. It explores the critical drivers relating to gendered violence by providing an overview of the prevalence and impact on individuals and workplaces. This session assists individuals to develop an accurate understanding of the complex issues and causal factors underpinning gender-based violence including the influence of gender inequality and gender unequal attitudes.
The session is aimed at building capability in relation to the role leaders can play in the prevention of gendered violence, how to respond to disclosures in a manner that ensures the safety of the woman (and\or their children) and provides guidance and options for appropriate support.
