Research shows that people generally thrive where they have a supportive environment. Showing an interest in our colleagues and looking out for one another are the first steps to help create and build on this important protective factor. This webinar highlights the attributes of a supportive team culture and explores some helpful ways we can assist our colleagues or team members who are struggling with common life issues and challenges. We focus on recognising the signs that someone needs support and look at how to start a conversation about mental health and general wellness while being mindful of boundaries and confidentiality.

About the experts


 

Dr Andrew Stock

Dr Andrew Stock is a clinical psychologist and Head of Psychology Enmasse. He leads psychological program development and training, working with executives in Australia, Asia, and other parts of the world, experiencing many of the common challenges that come with working in high performance roles, including issues with work/life integration, maintaining energy levels and preventing burnout. Andrew also has significant expertise working with complex issues that impact on individuals at work and in their home lives, including where mental health issues may impact on performance and relationships.

Fiona Parkinson

Fiona Parkinson is an experienced mental health facilitator and counsellor who is trained in Mental Health First Aid and Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST). Fiona has experience working with vulnerable members of the community both directly and via telephone crisis support. She enjoys supporting workplaces in their efforts to build resilient teams and cultures of psychological safety. Fiona also supports our content team in developing evidence-based, psychologically-validated information and advice.
